Anything your heart and soul truly desires! Allow your thoughts and ideas to pour out of you in this journal. There’s a method of manifesting by journaling called “scripting” because you are actually writing the “script” for the life you want to live. Write about your dreams and goals as if they have already become your reality.
Write about what you want to manifest in the present tense. That means, if you really want to make that dream vacation to Italy happen, write about that Italian vacation as if you’re already in Italy living La Dolce Vita. Pretend this is your vision board in sentences.
For instance: It's my third day in Florence (or should I say ‘Firenze’ like a true local) and I'm in pure bliss! I'm staying at the enchanting Palazzo Niccolini Al Duomo. My suite is a luxurious haven, surpassing all my “someday” dream scrolls through Pinterest and Instagram saves. I could spend endless days here, strolling through the city, savoring the cuisine, and marveling at the art and architecture. My plush queen-sized bed is adorned with silky sheets and feathery pillows. I'm surrounded by exquisite Italian frescoes in my own room! The marble floors add to the opulence. Gazing out the window, I'm greeted by the timeless beauty of cobblestone streets, as though I've traveled back in time. My hotel is just steps to the iconic Il Duomo cathedral, a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture with its stunning red-tiled dome. As the golden sun casts its sunrise glow through the curtains, it's time for a leisurely Italian breakfast while sipping a caffè con latte. I'm thrilled to have tickets to the museum, so I have plenty of time to explore the shops and cafés before admiring Michelangelo's art this afternoon.
Now do you get it? Capisci?
Yes, manifesting works all the time. You are always manifesting, whether you intend to or not. What you focus on the most and the words you say out loud are constantly calling in your experience, so why not do this with intention? Whether consciously or subconsciously, we are always shaping our experiences. So, by focusing your thoughts and words with intention of your desired outcome, you can actively move towards what you desire.
Have you ever found yourself consumed by worry and anxiety, stressing about things you don’t want to happen, like unexpected expenses?
Picture this: you're on the phone complaining to your bestie about your money problems (thanks to those limiting beliefs that keep you in the stuck and broke cycle), whining about the cost of things – “Girl, groceries are sooo expensive! Can you believe one bag cost me over $100 bucks at Trader Joe’s? Ugh! Yeah, and my sucky desk job really sucks! I wanna quit soon. I’m barely paid enough! Yeah, and my car is always breaking down to get there. It cost me $30 bucks to fill the tank the other day, and then the battery died after I drove away from the gas station. My roadside service membership expired, so I had to pay $120 to renew it before I could even get the tow truck to come help me jump the battery. Then the new battery cost $100 bucks!”
Well, the day after that complaint fest, you’re on your way to work during rush hour traffic and your car gets a flat tire - you hear that flump flump flump sound as you roll off the exit. Well, didn’t you spend your drive home yesterday complaining about money, whining about how you want to leave your sucky desk job, and now you’re late to that sucky desk job because of traffic and car troubles. After you deal with the unexpected hassle (and extra cost) of towing the car to a tire shop and paying for the repair (What?! $109 for one tire?!) you arrive late to work. Your boss calls you in for a serious chat and informs you that you have two weeks to clear out your workspace. Well, guess what, babe? You manifested all that!
This is how manifesting works. Remember, what you focus on you get more of. So focus on what you want! Stop complaining and start manifesting what you deeply desire to experience in your one and only precious life.
I’ve spent a lot of my life journaling and keeping a diary since I was a young girl, so I know the transformational power of writing stuff down. I’ve bought many manifestation journals – some were great, some not so much. A few just looked aesthetically pleasing, but didn’t offer much on the inside. They were basic copy and paste journal templates, which didn’t light my soul on fire and get me writing about my dreams and goals.
So I’ve been searching for the “right” manifesting journal that would help me focus my intention in the morning and tap into gratitude and appreciation for where I am right now. I craved a journal that gave me writing space to visualize what I want to create, with some guided structure such as writing prompts, and inspiring quotes and affirmations to get my pen going.
I also wanted this journal to keep me accountable to my dreams and goals on the written page daily. It takes 21 days to create a habit, so why not give it a month? If you really want to create positive change, give it three months. Complain less, journal about what you want to manifest more, and I’m sure you’ll be glad you did.
It can take but a few minutes per day, from 5 to 15 minutes, just enough time to get your mind going in a positive direction. You can decide if you want to journal more one day, or less on another day. The whole point is to focus your thoughts on what you want to create in your life, which gets the ballpoint pen rolling towards where you want to be, who you want to be, and what you want to make happen.
